When Eddie and Sam lost their daughter, Poppy Drew, in March 2024, family and friends came together to pay tribute to her enduring spirit and her loving, caring nature. In recognition of the emotional challenges faced by many young people today, Poppy’s family members have been keen to support Off The Record Twickenham’s counselling service through their fund-raising efforts. So far, an impressive £22,000 has been raised in Poppy’s memory, most recently from a Vets March at Grasshoppers Rugby Club in Twickenham on 8th February. Off The Record is immensely grateful for this vital injection of funding: the initial £16,000 enabled us to provide initial counselling sessions for over 300 local young people and subsequent income continues to support us to provide drop-in support / information sessions and our 12 week counselling courses .
Further fund-raising events are planned, including an 80 mile cycle ride on 24th May from Twickenham to Shepton Beauchamp in Somerset, to be undertaken by Mark and Rob. To donate, please visit the Muchloved Events page here.
