Huge thanks and congratulations to James Whistler who took part in the London Marathon on 21st April 2024, achieving a fantastic time of 3 hours and 12 minutes, with total funds raised of nearly £6,000 to be shared between OTR Twickenham, Anthony Nolan and the Harlequins Foundation.
In honour of his favourite rugby team, James ran the course dressed as a harlequin, complete with leather shoes – not the easiest footwear for running! He nevertheless succeeded in breaking a Guinness World Record to gain the official title of fastest marathon dressed as a Harlequin. We’re very impressed and very grateful for the funds raised which will help support the emotional and mental well-being of local young people.
James’ father is a trustee of Off The Record Twickenham.
