Assistant Counselling Manager

About Us

Off The Record Twickenham provides counselling, information and sexual health services for young people in the borough of Richmond Upon Thames. Our free and confidential services offer easy access to counselling in youth-friendly, non-clinical settings across the borough, to improve young people’s emotional health and well-being at a time when they are experiencing unprecedented levels of stress and anxiety.  

We’re looking for someone who really cares about helping young people with their emotional health and wellbeing and making sure our counselling team feel supported with the challenging issues that come their way, particularly safeguarding concerns. Main responsibilities of the post

  • Assisting the Manager in the running of the counselling and drop-in service
  • Supporting OTR’s team of volunteer and paid counsellors
  • Providing counselling for young people who are in immediate need
  • Providing supported information to young people on a range of issues affecting their emotional health and well-being (including sexual health)

This is a part-time post of 16 hours a week, including a requirement to work two regular evenings and alternate Saturday mornings. There may be opportunities for additional hours to be negotiated. The post is office-based in Church Street, Twickenham.

Salary:  £33,696 p.a. (£14,976 pro rata based on a 16-hour week)
