Off The Record held a party to mark the charity’s 30th birthday on Monday 10th October 2022. Taking place appropriately on World Mental Health Day, staff, counsellors and supporters of Off The Record gathered together at St Mary’s Church in Twickenham to celebrate 30 years of providing a welcoming space where local young people feel valued, supported and listened to. Father Jeff Hopkins Williams paid tribute to OTR’s significant contribution to the welfare of young people across the borough over a particularly challenging 2 year period which has seen demand for counselling rise to unprecedented levels, due in no small part to the impact of the pandemic.
The party was preceded by OTR’s Annual General Meeting at which Sarah Simpson stood down as Chair, having served on the board of trustees for over 8 years, and handed over the baton to local resident Peter Jenkins, who looks forward to helping the charity develop over the next few years. You can find out more about the board of trustees on our page here. OTR is currently seeking additional trustees to join the board, please click here for further information.
